Professor Chidambaram Sabarathinam

Professor S. Chidambaram is currently working as a Research Scientist, Water Research Centre, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Kuwait.

 He was a gold medalist in Under Graduate and Post graduate degree. He has cleared State Level Educational Test (SLET) under University Grants Commission (UGC) India for lectureship and joined as lecture in department of Geology, Annamalai University, India in 1998. He served as the Professor and head for the department of Earth sciences. He has 19 years of teaching experience, produced 17 M.Phils and 16 Ph.D thesis under his guidance. He has published more than 180 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 9 books in the field of hydrogeology. His citations accounts for about 4323 (Google Scholar)       and his h-index is 36. He has developed a computer program in C++ (WATCLAST), for Hydrogeochemical studies. His work on fluoride removal by natural material in community water supply scheme as an outcome of a government of India project, has received the best paper award in the Applied Water Sciences journal for the year, 2013. He has awarded for the best contribution in the field of Hydrogeology and Environmental Geochemistry during 2016 by Indian Society of Applied Geochemists. He has undertaken training in IAEA programs and served as an expert for two IAEA expert missions to KISR, Kuwait.
