Dr Wanfang Zhou

Dr Wanfang Zhou is an internationally recognized hydrogeologist and environmental geologist with global working experience.

He is the Principal Hydrogeologist and President of ZeoEnvironmental, LLC. Since obtaining his Ph.D. from Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine of Great Britain in 1995, he has led over 200 research and consulting projects sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Energy, the Federal Highway Administration, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and private sectors. Dr. Zhou serves on the Editorial Board of Environmental Earth Sciences and the Advisory Board for the Environmental Management Program of the U. S. Department of Defense. He has organized workshops/seminars on environmental geology for American Society of Civil Engineers; on geophysics application and water resources engineering for University of Tennessee; and on geohazard evaluation and mitigation for National Transportation Research Board. He is a Certified Professional Geologist by American Institute of Professional Geologists and licensed geologist in eight U.S. states. Dr. Zhou has published extensively in topics related to environmental protection and groundwater resource evaluation and utilization. He has made contributions to six professional books and edited four special journal issues. He is author or co-author of about seventy peer-reviewed articles published in Environmental Earth Sciences (Environmental Geology), Ground Water, Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering, Mine Water and the Environment, and Engineering Geology. His works have been cited by professionals worldwide.
