Title of the Talk: Hydrogeology and Environmental Problems During Hydraulic Fracturing in Unconventional Hydrocarbon Extraction

Dr. Xiaodong He is currently working as a young research scholar in the field of hydrogeology and environmental sciences at Chang’an University, China. Dr. Xiaodong He holds a Ph.D. in hydraulic engineering from Chang’an University, and has wide experience in hydrogeochemistry, water-rock interaction, hydro-ecology and water security. He has published more than 20 scientific papers in international journals on topics that range from groundwater quality to groundwater pollution, of which 12 papers have been selected as ESI top 1% highly cited papers. He had been selected as Stanford University Top 2% Top Scientists Worldwide (2022). He at present serves as the reviewers of Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Geochemistry and Health, Human and Ecological Risk Assessment, Exposure and Health, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, and Environmental Earth Sciences. He has led and participated in more than 10 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and other national and provincial agencies.
