Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation

Mr Mahlobo is the Deputy Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation. He previously served as the Minister of both Energy and State Security. He holds a BSc Degree (Microbiology and Biochemistry) and a BSc Honours Degree (Biochemistry) from the University of Zululand. Amongst his many accolades, before assuming his current position, he was the Head of the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs. From 1995 to 1999, he was a member of the Faculty Board of Science and Agriculture from 1995 to 1999 and a Committee member of the Tutu Trust from 1998 to 1999. From 2002 to 2006 he was a Director of Transformation in the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry.
