Title of the Talk: Rethinking the Global Economy for the Greater Good: Water and Environmental Sustainability
Prof Kaseeram has been in the employment of the University of Zululand for the past 21 years, prior to that he worked as a lecturer at the University of Natal Pietermaritzburg. In 2011 he was appointed as Head of the Economics Department and in 2014 was appointed as Deputy Dean Research. He introduced Econometrics and Advanced Mathematics to the Economics Department which made it the leading research department in the faculty, producing the most publications and postgraduates. He drove the research agenda of his Faculty, making it a high achiever in research with collaborations in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, USA, UK, India, Dubai and China. Prof Kaseeram has more than 50 publications and has graduated 22 Masters and 11 Doctorates in the field of Economics. He edited a Sage book on Land reform and has chaired the MBALI International Conference Committee since its inception in 2016, today it’s a leading annual Commerce, Administration and Law Conference in South Africa with an accredited conference proceedings.
