Title of the Talk: Aquatic Plastics & Environment: Interactions and human health
He is actively working in the field of “Environmental Geochemistry” mainly dealing with metal cycling in water, sediment and air in continental and coastal environments. He has a developed a research team along with who he has commenced a Worldwide program called the “Blue Flag Beaches: Vision 2030” which deals with generation of base line data set on geochemical composition/enrichment of elements in tourist beaches. His research team has developed the new field of research in microplastic studies in the coastal environments. He is also working on paleo tsunami deposits and paleo climate studies around the World. He is actively involved in teaching younger generation on the skills to develop and write good scientific articles and a course on “Art of Scientific Writing” is been taught to postgraduate students/scientists around the globe.
