Professor Peiyue Li

Presentation Title: Groundwater quality in Northwest China and impacts from land use changes.

Dr. Peiyue Li is a Full Professor in the field of hydrogeology and environmental sciences at Chang’an University, China. He has extensive experience in groundwater quality assessment, hydrogeochemistry, and groundwater modeling. He has edited and co-edited nine textbooks and academic monographs and published over 180 articles in refereed journals on topics that range from groundwater quality assessment and groundwater hydrochemistry to groundwater pumping tests and in-situ tracer tests. Dr. Li currently serves as associate editors for Exposure and Health, Mine Water and the Environment, Archive of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, Discover Water, and Human and Ecological Risk Assessment. Several organizations including Clarivate and Elsevier have selected Dr. Li as one of the most highly cited researchers in the world. He has been funded by two national talent supporting programs, and has been a principal investigator (PI) for more than 20 research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MSTC). He is now working on impacts of irrigation on groundwater quality and the permeability of porous media.
